Last week, Brewster Thai Scholars dressed up to give formal “Thai Scholar Talks” in front of a small audience to practice their public speaking skills. They chose their topic, and the subjects ranged across the board! Here are photos of them in their rehearsals before the big talks.

Brewster`s Thai Scholar Program is in its 33rd year, and it is as meaningful as ever. This summer, we welcomed more than 30 of Thailand`s top high school graduates to campus as they prepare for a post-graduate year and college life in the United States. Since 1992, the program has offered an intensive 10-week orientation covering academic writing, U.S. History, cultural adaptation, college guidance, TOEFL preparation, and the college entrance essay. Of course, they also get to experience a Wolfeboro summer on Lake Winnipesaukee, and that is a pretty special part of the package.

Brewster welcomed @brasil.lacrosse to campus this summer for their elite 2026 Brasil Lacrosse Olympic Training Camp.

Brasil Lacrosse, the governing body for lacrosse in Brazil, brought together the Men’s and Women’s National Teams, along with coaches and performance staff, for a week of high-performance training and preparation on the road toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic qualification pathway.

We are proud to host such high-caliber athletes and have them experience our lakeside facilities firsthand. Thank you to Brasil Lacrosse for bringing your passion, energy, and Brazilian spirit to Brewster!

Our campus will be buzzing this weekend for the annual On the Green Arts and Crafts Festival! The event runs July 10 to 12 on DeWolf Field and features more than 100 artisans, live music, and delicious food. We are grateful to be part of such a vibrant and creative community, in every season.

Brewster faculty are always growing. While our teachers enjoy a well-earned summer recharge, we wanted to look back at the professional development they engaged in at the close of the school year. Tina Blythe from Project Zero at Harvard University spent a full day with our faculty after Commencement, leading a deep dive into the Cultures of Thinking project. We have no doubt the learning from that day will show up in classrooms all year long.

One of the highly anticipated traditions in the Wolfeboro July 4th parade is the Lawn Chair Drill Team, led by none other than longtime faculty member Byron Martin and started by former Dean of Academics Pete Caesar. Some of the original members and former Brewster faculty, Bill Lyons and Ron Nentwig, made an appearance in this year’s team, as well as former Head of School Michael Cooper and Anelya ’27. This fun and hilarious drill team is going 32 years strong, and won first prize for Division 1 this year in the parade awards!
