Brewster’s top boys’ basketball team closed out the 2025-26 season ranked among the best in the country. The Bobcats finished #17 in the final ESPN poll, #18 in Sports Illustrated, and an impressive #9 on MaxPreps, all well-earned after a 30-6 record that included multiple wins over top-10 programs.

Congratulations to every player on this roster and to the entire coaching staff, especially Head Coach Jason Smith, on a truly tremendous season.

Something significant is taking shape at the center of campus.

Coming fall 2026, the Reyes Family Courtyard will transform the space between Estabrook, the Academic Building, and the Grayson Student Center into a true heart of campus life. The existing parking lot will be relocated, pedestrian pathways prioritized, and in its place: a shared greenspace designed around how students actually move through their day.

The new outdoor quad builds on the momentum of the Grayson Student Center redesign, creating new possibilities for future development around this central campus space.

The project is named for Andrew Reyes `06, a trustee and lead donor who arrived here as a sophomore from Lake Forest, Illinois, and left knowing who he was as a learner. "Brewster changed my life," he said. "It instilled a confidence I didn`t know I had and made me believe that the future I dreamed about was truly within reach."

The courtyard also celebrates all of our alumni, with previous alumni bricks added to the new space alongside room for future ones -- honoring a cherished tradition: senior breaks.

Ava ‘28 just helped lead Bosnia and Herzegovina to a silver metal at the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship. The game-winning goal. Second-leading scorer in the tournament. And two more years at Brewster still ahead of her.

Ask her what mattered most, though, and she’ll tell you it was belief. Belief that the comeback was possible. And knowledge that every shift she skates is making the path a little clearer for the girls who come after her.
